Mountain City Candle Co. uses soy wax that is made from soybeans grown right here in the USA, primarily in Illinois, Iowa, and Indiana. That's the greatest advantage to using soy wax - it's a completely renewable resource. The candles you buy from Mountain City Candle Co. today are made from soy that was likely in the ground less than a year ago. And chances are that the same fields are growing more soy for your future candles.
USA grown, renewable, biodegradable, eco-friendly... what's not to love?
The candles at Mountain City Candle Co. are of the highest quality, so they burn evenly, cleanly, and slowly. Keep your wick trimmed to 1/4" before each light, and the carbon soot from your candle will be kept to a minimum.
Trim wick to 1/4 inch before every burn. Always burn until the melt pool has reached the edges of the jar. This will keep your candles burning evenly and beautifully for the life of your candle. Do not burn longer than 4 hours at a time. Never leave candle unattended. Keep away from children and pets.
Candle wax will behave just like oil near a flame. Never use water to extinguish a candle.
Multiple factors affect the burn time of a candle: container size, wick size, type of wax used. Conservatively speaking, here are the approximate burn times of a Mountain City Candle.
1 oz Soy Wax Tart = 20 hours if burned in short, 4 hour bursts
Medium Size Soy Candle Burn Time = 35 - 40 hours
Large Size Soy Candle Burn Time = 70 - 80 hours
3 Wick Soy Candle Burn Time = 95 - 100 hours
