Unlike production pieces, I use a slow, hand-crafted process with my woodworking.  It's my (nearly) nightly routine to spend a couple hours woodworking after my son has crawled into bed at the end of the day.  It's how I unwind from my work days, reconnecting with the earth and relaxing by letting my hands find the beauty in each wood cut.  Each hardwood slab has been harvested from locally grown, Maryland trees, kiln dried.  Since each piece is individually handmade, there are subtle variations that factory-produced wood decor items lack.  Blemishes, knots, size, and color will vary with each piece, giving them each a uniqueness that makes them incredibly desirable.
